REGULATION, RELATIONSHIPS, RESPECT.

As humans, we are wired for meaningful & respectful connections.

Kate’s counselling practice is firmly grounded in regulation, relationships, and respect.

REGULATION –  to restore a felt sense of safety and harmony through body and mind connection.

RELATIONSHIPS – recognising that safe & reliable connections with others are a physiological need.

RESPECT – the felt sense of being seen, heard, and valued for one’s inherent worthiness.

“Rather than particular techniques, the far greater predictors of positives outcomes are therapeutic relationships, or counselor qualities in therapeutic relationships that capitalize on clients’ internal strengths.”

INTEGRATIVE THERAPY – MIND & BODY.

A holistic approach integrating talk therapy with somatic practices.

With a background in somatic practices such as yoga and qoya, as well as undertaking a counselling degree, Kate weaves both top-down and bottom-up therapeutic approaches.

Kate integrates modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, and Narrative Therapy with physiological practices that support nervous system regulation.

“Person-centered therapy is an optimistic, humanistic, and phenomenological approach to therapy. Person-centered theory posits that each individual has within him- or herself a capacity for dramatic and positive growth.”
